Wet and dry
In general, there are three types of exhaust system: dry, wet and a combination of the two. Whereas Discom focuses on exhaust systems in the professional marine, energy and industrial market sectors, we at MarQuip specialise in so-called ‘complete dry and/or wet’ exhaust systems in the yachting industry. These are custom-designed to offer you ultra-efficient cooling, high resistance to corrosion and superyacht standards of noise and vibration attenuation.
Exhaustive research
With our respected background in noise and vibration reduction, and encouraged by market enquiries, we entered into a comprehensive research and development programme for exhaust systems, specifically aimed at superyachts. This resulted in the design of our revolutionary ‘dry and/or wet’ exhaust system, which has been successfully implemented on a number of major projects (see our reference list on www.marquip.nl). As well as guaranteeing the permitted engine back-pressure and an extremely efficient cooling at low water flow levels, the system also has a very long life-span.
