Frans Heesen, an entrepreneur acquires a shipyard as a potential site for his company. Rather than converting the buildings, he decides to keep the yard’s ship building activities alive and in 1979 the first yacht bearing the Heesen brand, 28 metre Amigo, is launched.
Since then we have accrued unparalleled experience as the world’s leading builder of aluminium yachts. In 1992 we took this expertise into the field of traditional steel displacement yachts, expanding the portfolio of custom-built possibilities open to our clients.
In the past 30 years we have designed, built and delivered well over 150 yachts. Many of them award-winning. No two of them alike. All of them delivered on time. Meticulous attention to detail and expertise at every level of build result in better performance and greater luxury.
