New Managing Director Gennaro Pipoli appointed at Imtech Marine Singapore

Mr. Pipoli (41) has built up an extensive experience and track record in the company General Electric (GE), in several senior management positions, amongst others in Italy, Russia and Singapore. The two most recent positions were Growth and Strategy Leader and Commercial Operation Director for the Asia Pacific and Middle East region, both in the Oil & Gas division of GE.   
 
The appointment of Mr. Gennaro Pipoli is a further important step in realizing the global ambitions of Imtech Marine and more specifically in the Asia region.The Imtech Marine office in Singapore (formerly Radio Holland) has grown to be one of the strategic multi-services and outfitting centres in the Imtech Marine network.

In January 2010, Imtech Marine (the marine division of technical services provider Imtech) announced its new 2011 - 2015 growth strategy. Growth will be achieved by organic growth and by means of acquisitions. Imtech Marine’s strategy to grow is based on a number of strategic priorities, including life cycle partnership with its customers worldwide; strengthening the global organization and service network, and innovation through green technology and integrated ship automation.  Imtech Marine has set several major steps in growth towards 2015 for example by opening offices in China, Spain, France and Morocco, concluding the acquisition of the Canadian company Techsol and supplying several green ship and automation solutions to projects.  Examples are the recently completed  innovative new-build vessel projects in Singapore; Seven Borealis for Subsea 7, Rockpiper for a subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster NV and Flintstone for Tideway, part of the DEME Group. The ships will all operate in the oil and gas market.
