

November 2011 – Engineered by Vripack and newly constructed by Burger Boat Company this year, Chicago’s Leading Lady received the WorkBoat Magazine Significant Boats of 2011 Award. The awards were presented on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011 at the International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans.
This 98’ steel passenger vessel has been designed for Chicago’s First Lady Cruises, Chicago and resembles her sister ship in many ways. Chicago’s Leading Lady is styled after the 1920’s luxury cruising yachts, such as the former Presidential yacht “Sequoia”. She is designed to carry 299 passengers or comfortable groups ranging from 75 up to 175 persons.
Chicago’s Leading Lady boasts an oversized bar area, large interior salon and extra large upper deck for ceremonies and dancing under the stars. Chicago’s Leading Lady is used for upscale private parties, wedding rehearsal dinners and corporate events, as well as, serving as an official vessel for the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise. Chicago’s Leading Lady is equipped with state-of-the-art marble and granite restrooms and a top of the bill sound system. She is furnished with round dining tables, bistro chairs and decorated in slate, brown and burgundy.
