

This complete aluminum vessel can reach speeds of 30 knots and is able to carry up to 50 persons to a maximum of 120 NM of the coast. The unique under water design by renowned naval architects Morelli & Melvin results in fast, safe and comfortable transfers in challenging sea conditions.
Vripack’s challenge with regard to this project was to fit all its practical knowledge about commercial craft into a fresh design, in order to create a head turning vessel. The design gives her a muscular, sturdy and aggressive appearance. Besides that; she is probably one of the safest vessels in her class. Vripack also performed the complete engineering and interior design.
On the lower deck there are two cabins, both containing two berths. A spacious and comfortable salon is situated on the main deck. The salon contains an air-conditioned lounge area with various entertainment sets, e.g. a game console, tables with computer points, WIFI, a fully equipped galley, a toilet and shower facilities. The wheelhouse and engineers cabin can be found on the upper deck.
The WindCat 101 has been designed according to DNV and the IMO HSC2000 passenger code. The most strict rules available. Therefore a lot of attention has been given to safety and also fire precautions for the accommodations and technical spaces, the Windcat 101 also contains one of the most complete navigation systems available. One look into the wheelhouse confirms that these professional bridge a.k.a. the flight deck makes this ship suitable for safe operation in the most tough circumstances. This bruiser is extremely comfortable in open seas, as a result of which she can still function when many other ships have to pull out. All in all, WindCat has really set their point on the benchmark of workboats.
The WindCat 101 has been designed by Vripack, built by Bloemsma & Van Breemen and is mainly going to be used on projects in the European wind farm industry.
