Since several years, Beekmans is renowned for its state of the art retractable awnings for yachts over 50 meters. Now it has introduced a system which can be installed into smaller vessels as well, serving the market for newly build and the refit market.
This foldable side-arm retractable awning uses spring-loaded arms of stainless steel, that pull the awning fabric tight as it rolls from a central drive tube. Beekmans-rvs.com can supply a standard or custom system to fit any structure of the vessel.
The system consists of a ready made box containing the side arms, roll with fabric and motor and controls. It is also possible to have the system mounted on a support bracket which can be installed into a ready made envelope in the structure.
Our systems are standard made to measure and will give shade up to 18 m2, i.e. 6 meters wide and 3 meters retracted.
