The 22nd edition of the biennial International HISWA Symposium on Yacht Design and Yacht Construction at Amsterdam RAI is scheduled for 12 and 13 November 2012 and will focus on science, innovation and research for and in the (Dutch) yacht building sector. read more
Next November the Dutch government organizes an economic mission to Sao Paulo and Rio. Yacht building is one of the represented sectors during this visit. Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Orange and Princess Máxima of the Netherlands will also join the programme. HISWA Holland Marine Industry is very proud to be involved in this mission.
The visit is scheduled for 19 to 23 November 2012 and is to strengthen the relations between the Netherlands and Brazil, with an emphasis on economic cooperation, innovation and science. read more

The HISWA Orange Yachts portal provides a representative range of Dutch new-built yachts, aimed at an international public. Focused on the segment up to 24 metres, the selection varies from launches and tenders to sail and motoryachts. read more
Xelvin Yacht & Shipbuilding became a partner of HISWA Holland Yachting Group in January 2012. This will allow the company to enhance its expertise in the secondment of professionals within the yachting industry. read more
On 1 January 2012, legal and notary firm AKD Prinsen Van Wijmen became a partner of the HISWA Holland Yachting Group. In joining forces both companies strengthen their position and increase their mutual networks. Vincent Wibaut, Chairman of the Board of AKD, and André Vink, Director of the HISWA Association, signed the agreement for a period of three years. read more

The annual Yacht Valley Press Tour 2011 held by the Holland Yachting Group was warmly received by the attending journalists. During a productive week at the end of May, editors and feature writers from all the leading international magazines were given exclusive access behind the scenes at the top yards, equipment suppliers and naval architects. The Yacht Valley Press Tour also included networking opportunities, sea trials and social gatherings. read more

The Dutch superyacht industry is doing well compared to other countries. Holland now holds a firm second position when it comes to the number of superyacht orders (yachts larger than 24 metres). Italy is the largest, with Turkey in third spot according to the Global Order Book 2011 of ShowBoats International. read more
Martijn Veldhuijzen van Zanten took up the role of export manager at the HISWA Holland Marine Industry on 15 January 2011. He is responsible for promoting and stimulating export of Dutch watersports products and services around the world. read more
